Jannaca Chick is a Canadian who has lived in the Kullu Valley of the western Indian Himalayas for the last twenty-five years. She went to India to study and practice meditation. Intrigued by the extraordinary scenery and interesting culture of the area, she began hiking extensively throughout the region, pursuing her interest in photography as she went. Her familiarity with the Hindi language has enhanced her appreciation and love of the local people and culture, which enables her to enter into the spirit of this mountainous area.
